INFN will open 150 job positions for technologists and technical collaborators to work for the projects funded within the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and dedicated to basic scientific research and the development of innovative technologies.

INFN is looking for high school and ITS graduates for 60 positions of technical collaborator with backgrounds in precision mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering and computing. INFN is also seeking master's graduates in physics, engineering and other technical and scientific disciplines for 95 positions as technologists with skills in mechanics, high vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, electronics, electrical engineering, detectors and particle accelerators. Skills on power lasers and optical systems are also sought. Among these, a substantial number of positions are devoted to systemic computing and for the development of innovative software and artificial intelligence systems.

Selected candidates will be involved in highly innovative and creative projects in the fields of elementary particle physics, astrophysics, gravitational wave physics, and many aspects of applied physics including superconductivity, medical physics, development of innovative particle acceleration techniques, and quantum computing.

Contracts, lasting from 24 to 30 months, will be awarded through special calls for applications, available after the summer on the Jobs INFN website within the fixed-term contracts, open call page (this is the direct link to the page).

In line with the indications provided by the NRRP and in order not to dissipate the skills acquired, INFN's intent is to announce, starting in 2026, permanent contracts corresponding to at least 40 percent of the number of fixed-term positions.

An important opportunity for the training and growth of young careers, to build the future of scientific research together, working in major national and international projects.

INFN is the Italian national research agency dedicated to the study of the fundamental constituents of matter and the laws that govern them. It conducts theoretical and experimental research in the fields of subnuclear, nuclear and astroparticle physics, within a framework of international competition. INFN's research activities take place in 27 locations distributed throughout the country. Fundamental research in these areas requires the use of cutting-edge technologies and research tools that INFN develops both in its own laboratories and in collaboration with industry.
