On this occasion, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome will host a conversation between Antonio Zoccoli, President of INFN, and Fabiola Giannotti, Director of CERN. The dialogue about the history of CERN will focus on its discoveries and future challenges. It will be accompanied by a sand art performance by Gabriella Compagnone.

Science 4.0: Research and Knowledge in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing

During the G7 Research in Bologna, a conference-show is organised by ICSC, INFN, CINECA in Piazza Maggiore (Bologna) on July 12. The show is about the advanced frontiers of knowledge and emerging technologies that are redefining modern scientific research.
During the event, Antonio Zoccoli, President of INFN and Professor at University of Bologna, Michela Milano, Professor at University of Bologna and expert in artificial intelligence, and Daniele Ottaviani, Chief Head of the Cineca Quantum Computing Lab, will discuss how artificial intelligence, supercomputing, and quantum computing are transforming the ability to manage large amounts of big data, simplify complex operations, and achieve innovative results.
The conference will be accompanied by the notes of a jazz duo, enriched by readings and a practical demonstration of quantum computing by Tommaso Calarco, professor at the University of Colone and at the University of Bologna.
Science of Summer! INFN Kids Summer Camp

A collaboration between INFN (INFN-Kids), Poleni Museum, and Pippi Longstocking Association.
Every Thursday in July, there will be physics activities for children! Kids in the Padua area can participate in workshops from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. For kids in other cities, every Thursday, stories and science experiments will be posted on INFN Kids' YouTube channel. Topics will include energy, sound, atoms, and colors.
