First was the video Women in siSTEMa by a team from Liceo Scientifico Antonio Roiti in Ferrara. This was followed by Knowledge has no gender: physics that progresses, realised by students from IV E of Liceo Scientifico Alessandro Volta in Reggio Calabria, and Toward Big Data and Beyond by a team from Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Bachelet in Abbiategrasso (MI). The results of the 2022/2023 contest for high schools Women and Research in Physics: between gender stereotypes and the professions of the future have been announced. The contest is promoted by INFN and CNR Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto di ricerche sulla Popolazione e le Politiche Sociali IRPPS, as part of the Genera Network and MINDtheGEPs projects, and is supported by SIF Società Italiana di Fisica, Elsevier and Springer Nature. The contest, which aims to raise awareness of gender issues in science, particularly for emerging professions related to the study of physics, this year saw the participation of about 250 students from all over Italy who made videos of up to 5 minutes long on the topic of gender stereotypes in professional careers in science. In addition to the three schools that took the podium, five schools were awarded special mentions: the Liceo Scientifico Armando Diaz of Caserta, Liceo Scientifico Federigo Enriques of Livorno, Liceo Vasco Beccaria Govone of Mondovì, Liceo Classico Europeo Convitto Mario Cutelli of Catania and the Liceo Ginnasio Statale Orazio of Rome. The announcement was made during the event “Generare Futuri”, organized by INFN and CNR-IRPPS in the CNR Convention Hall in Rome as part of CNR's centennial celebrations.
