The 4th edition of Art&Science Across Italy, INFN's European project in collaboration with CERN aimed at secondary schools to promote STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) disciplines through dialogue with art, has got underway. Second, third and fourth and year students can enter the 2022-2024 edition of the project that, since its first edition in 2016, has already involved more than 10,000 youngsters from all over Italy. The project aims to engage youngsters in the world of scientific research, combining the languages of science with those of art, seeking to develop different individual interests and aptitudes. The project takes place over two school years and involves three phases: the first is an educational phase in which seminars, workshops and visits to museums and laboratories are organised; the second phase involves students creating artistic works inspired by the scientific topics covered in the lectures; finally, the works created are exhibited and prizes awarded in regional exhibitions, and the most significant ones are included in the national exhibition, the concluding event of each edition. In the national exhibition, a jury of experts draws up a ranking list, and the eight winning groups (24 students) receive a scholarship, established with the contribution of Radio Kiss Kiss, which is also the project's media partner, to participate in a master's programme on the relationship between art and science at CERN or INFN laboratories in Italy.
