More than 110 schools are participating this year, with a total of more than 1,000 students, in the 2024-2025 edition of the INFN Lab2Go project, whose opening event was held on 14 November 2024, involving students and teachers from some of the 90 schools participating in the Lab2Go-Physics programme. Lab2Go is an INFN project for high schools started in 2015 from the collaboration of INFN and Sapienza University of Rome and, since then, it has involved an increasing number of schools from an increasing number of cities each year. To make the most of teaching experiments, resources and laboratories of the high schools involved, Lab2Go promotes various initiatives, such as redeveloping green areas in schools, cataloguing the schools’ instrumentation, using these instruments to run educational experiences, and setting up exhibitions addressed to the public and other schools.
Thanks to the support of INFN Divisions and National Laboratories in collaboration with university bodies and departments, the project also involves repairing broken instrumentation and documenting the achievable experiences, promoting their dissemination within the network of schools participating in the project.
